Las Vegas is ditching its ‘What happens here’ slogan - New York Post

Everyone knows that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

But Sin City is reportedly set to update its famous motto with a new spin, seventeen years after the famous tourism campaign launched.

Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, has tweeted that the marketing gimmick will be unveiled during the chamber’s Preview Las Vegas event during the Grammy Awards on Sunday.

The new phrase is speculated to be “What happens here, only happens here,” ABC News reported.

In November, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith told the crowd during a show to respond “only happens here” after calling out “what happens here,” the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The “What happens in Vegas” advertising campaign, created by agency R&R Partners, has been so popular that it was even the name of a 2008 movie starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
