EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Normally a fun-filled event attended by a few hundred people, this year's Celebration of Leadership Award Ceremony is going to the airwaves due to COVID-19.
WNIN will air the show at 7 p.m. Tuesday, with 177 regional nominations recognized and recipients announced.
The awards are put on by Leadership Everyone, formerly known as Leadership Evansville. The nonprofit each year invites the area community to nominate local individuals, projects and businesses exhibiting servant leadership, diversity and inclusion.
The Celebration of Leadership Award Ceremony recognizes examples of outstanding community and public service in Arts, Community & Neighborhood, Education, Government, Public Service & Environment and Health & Social Service.
Fifth Third is sponsoring the 25th annual event.
