Massive clusters of lightning-sparked wildfires are burning huge swaths of Northern California, threatening lives, destroying homes and displacing tens of thousands of people forced to flee for safety. Four people have died.
Below is a roundup of the region’s biggest, most destructive fires, along with critical information about evacuation zones and respite centers. The list will be updated as new information becomes available.
The LNU Lightning Complex fires

• Burning since: Aug. 17
• Size: 302,388 acres
• Containment: 15%
