There’s a new café in the Memorial area.
White Elm Café & Bakery — which is located at 14079 Memorial Drive at the intersection of North Kirkwood Road and opened on Aug. 11 — features cuisine that is inspired by the French countryside and Mediterranean coast.

The concept for White Elm was developed in a joint effort with owners Chico Ramirez of Dinner Table Investments, Tasos Katsaounis, owner of Break Man Baking and Chez Nous owners Scott and Stacy Simonson.
White Elm’s 3,445 square foot space with outdoor patio will offer seating for up to100 guests. It will feature a dine-in, full-service café and walk up counter offering early morning pastries and coffees, lunch and dinner daily and brunch on the weekends.
The upscale-casual concept includes a full, in-house bakery program featuring oven-fresh baked breads and pastries available daily.
“We are excited to open our first White Elm Café Bakery in this Memorial neighborhood,” said Christopher “Chico” Ramirez, owner of Dinner Table Investments. “We look forward to becoming an integral part of the community by not only offering a chef-driven, dine-in menu, but also a grocery aspect for quality baked goods and the perfect place to grab a pastry and coffee on-the-go.”
