A cafe in McCall has moved locations.
The owner of Cafe 6 three 4, Katie Welborn, closed her doors at the start of the pandemic to focus on the move.

“The old location wouldn’t have sustained the six-foot rule to keep tables apart,” she said. “I felt it was in the best interest for my sanity and my employees to have the space they needed to feel comfortable at work.”
But she was planning the move pre-pandemic. Welborn was ready to move on from her old location on Roosevelt Ave. She says she outgrew her small kitchen space, the old parking area is strictly watched by the city and she happened to stumble upon the new location.
Welborn says the new building layout with the roll-up doors was how she originally envisioned her cafe.
When the coronavirus hit back in March, Welborn briefly considered shutting down for good. But when customers kept coming, she knew she needed to stay open. Welborn says she enjoys creating this space for everyone to enjoy.
“I also didn’t want to give up on my employees that I cherish so much,” she said. “Along with all my local favorites who supported me when it was quiet. And being off the beaten path I didn’t get the tourist, it was local support mostly. This new building is for them.”
Cafe 6 three 4 is on 500 N. Third Street. It’s open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. serving breakfast and comfort food.
