Kitty Brew CafePhoto: Hailey BollingerSouthwest Ohio's first cat cafe opened its doors in 2017 in the suburban neighborhood of Mason. Over the past several years, Kitty Brew Cafe has helped find homes for over 2,000 cats. But due to the challenges of the pandemic, the cafe needs some help from the community to continue their mission.
Shop owner Jenni Barrett has started a GoFundMe to ask for financial support in order to pay for the building's rent and utilities. "We want to keep pressing forward so we can keep bringing joy to the lives of our customers, cats, adopters, staff, rescues, and online community," the GoFundMe page reads.
"We love y'all and couldn't do any of this without your continued support and love. Any donation or share of this campaign will be appreciated beyond measure.">
Barrett set a goal of $15,000 on Nov. 4. As of the afternoon of Nov. 5, donations have surpassed $11,000. Every little bit counts, and your donations benefit not only a small local business, but the lives of homeless pets for now and years to come.
