After starting as a cafe on Vista, converting to a cafeteria at MK Plaza and a catering company out of a call center, Rooster’s Catering and Eatery went full circle – opening a new standalone cafe.
Ronda DeGiorgio the co-owner of Rooster’s says the cafe’s new spot is a central location to Boise and Meridian has worked out great.
“The new location is very convenient for many of our past customers and for hopping on and off the freeway for catering deliveries,” she said. “The local businesses have been very receptive. And we are already seeing repeat business.”

The menu is the same as the one from Vista, but there are a few new sandwiches and soups. DeGiorgio says the tri-tip sandwich and the pitas have been the most popular menu items.
The only moving that took place during the pandemic was out of a storage unit. DeGiorgio says business has been good despite it.
“Take out is strong,” she said. “We are practicing and cooking up new dishes for catering. We long for the day we do more catering.”
The new location is down Emerald Street and is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Our staff at (the T-Mobile call center) was able to work at this location due to T-Mobile being closed during the pandemic,” DeGiorgio said. “They are awesome. Our other staff is still with us. They are great employees who love to please others. Stop in and say hello.”
