"Pastries and whiskey, what else do you need?"

In between Lindy’s and Opa’s Grill, there’s a new cafe to welcome on Fourth.

During the month of November, L Station Cafe & Bar quietly opened its doors with a rotating menu of goodies down on 500 N. Fourth Ave.

When it comes to keeping things local with the restaurant’s bread, pastries, tortillas, and meat, general manager Danny Calderon says that it’s a top priority.

“One thing we like to emphasize is that we are all local,” said Calderon, “and most — if not all — of the products we buy are from local vendors.”

Back in the kitchen, the crew has been working countless hours to get the place up and running, including executive chef Adrian Castillo, who’s putting a unique touch on the different menus, and the sweet bites crafted by pastry chef Felicia Weipert.

Upon arrival, you’ll notice that most of the seating is out on the patio, which is well-equipped with umbrellas and heaters, and they’re working on getting misters installed, too, for the warmer months of the year.

The restaurant is also brewing up something exclusive.

For all of the coffee aficionados out there, the baristas are using a Modbar espresso machine — a system that’s well worth more than $1,000 and extremely rare. You’ll definitely want to take a glance at their menu, and in the coming weeks, they’ll be ready to serve up a nitro cold brew.

L Station Cafe & Bar is open every day of the week and the menus vary depending on the time and day. Take a look at the hours of operation, which were created to ease the workload on the baristas, bartenders, and chefs.

Hours of operation and menus:

Monday and Tuesday

• 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Coffee and pastries are available in the morning, lunch service begins at 11 a.m., beer and wine ard available all throughout the day

Wednesday – Friday

• 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• Same lineup as above, with the addition of a full cocktail menu after 3 p.m.

Saturday

• 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• Brunch menu from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and an alternative menu starting at 3 p.m.

Sunday

• 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• Brunch menu only
