LANSING, MI -- With the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot on the line this Friday, lottery players all over the country are hoping to find the lucky combination that could lead to a life-changing win.
The estimated jackpot for the drawing on Friday, Jan. 15 is worth $750 million, with a cash option of $550.6 million. That jackpot could become even larger if ticket sales outpace expectations.
But finding that exact combination of lucky numbers required to win is easier said than done. In fact, your odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot a just 1 in 302 million.

With that in mind, MLive took a look at the results for all 104 Mega Millions drawings in 2020 and found a handful of numbers that were drawn in roughly 10% of drawings or more. Here are the white Mega Millions numbers that were drawn the most in 2020:
- Drawn 12 times: 15, 44
- Drawn 11 times: 20, 25, 27, 31, 57, 70
- Drawn 10 times: 9, 13, 33, 46, 53, 64
These were the luckiest Mega Ball numbers for 2020:
- Drawn 8 times: 22
- Drawn 7 times: 17, 25
And while those numbers were drawn more often than the others, these are the unluckiest white Mega Millions numbers drawn in 2020:
- Drawn 2 times: 65
- Drawn 3 times: 5, 40
- Drawn 4 times: 12, 21, 30, 49, 63
As for the unluckiest Mega Balls drawn in 2020, several numbers tied for the least-drawn numbers:
- Drawn 2 times: 3, 20, 23, 24

The last player from Michigan to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot was Cristy Davis of Waterford who won $70 million playing Powerball in February. With her winnings, Davis said she planned to buy a new house and car.
And while she was a lucky winner, it’s smart for players to check their tickets immediately as a winner worth $1 million sold in Hartland in 2019 went unclaimed. The ticket was purchased at the Speedway in Hartland, but the winner never came forward to claim the prize. The money instead went to the state’s School Aid Fund.
