The six members of Papa’s Book Club came together for their monthly meeting to discuss the novel “Other People’s Pets” on Wednesday in Columbia. The author of the novel, R.L. Maizes, phoned in on a Zoom video call to answer questions about the book and the ideas behind Maizes’ writing.
The feline-friendly establishment has hosted a monthly book club for two-and-a-half years, and despite the pandemic, it continues to meet in-person to pet cats and discuss books. Next month’s book club meeting is on Wednesday, Feb. 24, where they will discuss the book, “The Future for Curious People,” by Gregory Sherl.
