Horschel won his Sunday morning semifinal match at Austin Country Club, 3 and 2, over France’s Victor Perez. Meanwhile, Scheffler, a local favorite with his University of Texas connection, knocked out match-play standout Matt Kuchar, 1 up, in the other morning match.

To have gotten this far means you’ve had to endure your fair share of golf already: Six individual matches over five days with another 18 holes to go

For that effort, however, the eventual winner will be substantially rewarded. The overall prize money payout for this WGC event is $10.5 million with the last man standing earning $1.82 million. Reach the finals and you’re guaranteed a seven-figure payday. Meanwhile, Perez and Kuchar will also play Sunday afternoon in the third-place match, with an additional $140,000 going to the winner.
