Here's the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2021 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational - Golf Digest

Any time you put your name on a list of golf accomplishments that includes Tiger Woods, you’re probably doing something impressive. And that’s the case so far this week for Harris English at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

With rounds of 62-65-65 at TPC Southwind in Memphis, English stands at 18-under 192. That score matches Woods for the tournament record through 54 holes. Woods set the mark in 2000 when the event was known as the WGC-NEC Invitational and played at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

English holds a one-shot lead on Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Smith and is looking to become just the third player in the tournament history to win wire-to-wire, once again joining Woods in 2000 and Stewart Cink in 2004. (The last wire-to-wire winner at any tour event was Nick Taylor at the 2020 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.) To do that, however, the 32-year-old former Georgia Bulldog would have to buck a few recent trends seen on tour in the 2020-21 season. Only five times in 44 events has the golfer leading after the first round of a tournament gone on to win, the last coming when Matt Jones did it at the Honda Classic in March. Meanwhile, only 15 times this season has a golfer leading after three rounds won the title, Phil Mickelson being the last to do that at the PGA Championship in May, 11 tournaments ago.

Also notable is that English could become the first player with three victories during the 2020-21 season, having won the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January and the Travelers Championship in June. Mind you, DeChambeau can claim the same distinction if he were to pass English on Sunday, adding to his wins at the U.S. Open at Winged Foot last September and the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.

The 66-golfer field is playing for an overall prize money payout of $10.5 million, with the winner earning $1.82 million. Here’s the breakdown of the payouts for every golfer competing. Come back shortly after the end of the tournament and we’ll update with individual names and prize money earned.
