Provided photoDELMAR — A vegetarian cafe called Rooted + Rind opens Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 14 Booth Road.
The minimal information on its Facebook page describes Rooted + Rind as a "Plant-focused cafe serving smoothies, salads, wraps, brunch + more." The menu is not yet online, and the lone food photo on its social media is of the salads above.
Soft-opening hours this week, for dine-in and takeout, are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. I'm awaiting a reply with more information, including menu details, regular hours and phone number.
The location is between a busy commercial strip of Delaware Avenue and the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail.
