Doughnut Homies, a doughnut company currently based in the Worcester Public Market, will open a cafe location downtown in December.
Signs advertising the grand opening appeared in the front of the space in the Midtown Mall on Front Street over the weekend.
The downtown location was originally announced in 2021. Owner Hayleigh Noel said at the time that the space, which formerly housed a diner, would include a build-your-own doughnut station.
“You can have it your way,” Noel said at the time. “We get so many requests for things and I really do try. I have a lot of ideas, but it’s just not me. We have the community every day telling me what I should make.”

Noel did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The new cafe will also fill the doughnut hole left by Doughnuts and Draughts, which abruptly closed its Main Street business earlier this month.
