A big year for The Hudson Cafe keeps getting bigger.
The restaurant late Tuesday announced plans to open a Troy location at the intersection of Big Beaver and Crooks roads just off of I-75. The new Hudson Cafe — the third following the original location in Detroit and another Northville — is slated to open later this year, according to a social media post.
"We are ready to break ground on our next adventure. That's right, Hudson Cafe is coming to TROY," the post reads.
The Hudson Cafe owner Tom Teknos did not immediately respond to requests for additional information.
Birmingham-based Windy City Construction Group will oversee work done at the space. Interior work will be done by St. Clair Shores-based Olon Interior Design Studio. Both groups worked on the Northville location.
The announcement of the expansion comes after The Hudson Cafe opened the Northville restaurant March 3. The downtown Detroit location reopened May 25 after $600,000-$700,000 of renovation work.
