The Gray Jett Café, which specializes in vegan and vegetarian meals, will open its doors in August at 1617 W. Wells St., the storefront that previously housed Bro-Yo.
Gray Jett Café was a 2022 finalist in Near West Side Partners’ Rev-Up MKE competition, a “shark tank”-style small business competition with the goal of revitalizing commercial corridors in the Near West Side.
Co-owners Shana Gray and Andren Jett aim to make healthy eating exciting. While the menu primarily consists of vegan and vegetarian meals, non-vegan and vegetarian options will also be available.
Marquette encourages the campus community to patronize the university’s retail tenants throughout the year. Consider these businesses when looking for individual or team lunches, student incentives, giveaways and gift cards — and don’t forget to show your support all year long.
