HENDERSON, Ky. — Bliss Artisan, a downtown ice cream shop and eatery in Henderson, is permanently closing.
The owners made the announcement via Facebook Monday evening, writing that it comes with great disappointment that they will not be reopening since their closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The post said the restaurant industry has faced many challenges and hardships the past couple of months, and it made the most financial sense to close the location.
The owners thanked their customers for a great couple of years. They also said they will open their other locations in phases throughout the summer and will keep customers updated on Facebook.

Customers can still redeem their Bliss Artisan gift cards at different locations.
Bliss Artisan is a local company that started in New Harmony by Mike and Angie Woodburn in 2013. The shop moved to Mount Vernon, Indiana, and then expanded to Henderson, New Albany and Tell City.
A downtown Evansville location, Bliss on 6th opened in December, taking the space of the former Keylee’s Pizza and Creamery.
Bliss ice cream is also sold at various stores and markets throughout Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois.
