MAGALIA, Calif. - The new Hilltop Cafe has been open since March of 2019, according to Tracy Darby. She works for the popular Magalia restaurant that is now owned by Jesse Perez.
According to Darby, Sunday morning the owner is closing down the restaurant temporarily due to a possible exposure of an employee to Covid-19.
Darby said an employee came to work saying they were not feeling well. The employee was sent home. Later it was determined that the employee's roommate has tested positive for Covid-19.
The restaurant opened in March under new ownership, and was serving only curbside for awhile due to the pandemic. When Butte County allowed restaurants to reopen, they did so, at 50% capacity.
The restaurant is located at 14112 Skyway in Magalia.
