The Brasserie and Neighborhood Cafe at Parish closed permanently earlier this month after over a decade in Inman Park, the Atlanta Business Chronicle first reported. The restaurant’s last day of service was Sunday, January 3.
Backed by Concentrics Restaurants, the North Highland Avenue establishment is no longer listed among the restaurants on the group’s website. Facebook also lists Parish as “permanently closed” and the restaurant’s website and phone number are no longer in service.
After bringing on chef Zeb Stevenson in 2013 to revamp the menu, Parish rebranded and redecorated to incorporate a more brasserie-like feel in the dining room. Stevenson left Parish a year later to lead the kitchen at Watershed, which closed in 2019. The chef now owns Redbird at Westside Provisions District with former Watershed owner Ross Jones.
Parish had been a host restaurant since 2018 for holiday pop-up bar Miracle. Run by Eric Simpkins and Darren Carr (Wonderkid, Bon Ton, the Lawrence), the pop-up expanded in 2020 to include the downstairs cafe and grassy area in back of Parish in order to provide for more social distancing and outdoor dining space during the pandemic.
Eater reached out to Concentrics Restaurants for comment on the closure.
Concentrics Restaurants closed its Midtown gastropub Tap three years ago at the corner of 14th and Peachtree streets. Self-service beer and cider bar Pour Taproom plans to open its second Atlanta location there this spring. The group also closed One Midtown Kitchen in 2018 after 16 years on the edge of Piedmont Park.
Concentrics now operates just two full-service Atlanta restaurants: Two Urban Licks and Bully Boy along the Eastside Beltline trail in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood. A location of Tap gastropub still operates at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Concourse A.
